Befriend His Friends
Hey Ladies! Hear me when I say that the way to a man’s heart is not through his stomach, it’s through his friends. It’s true that being able to whip up a fancy feast is a valuable talent, but I insist that getting in with your guy’s guys is far more important. Being the charming social butterflies that you are, I’m sure you’ll win over his circle of friends in no time at all. Not to mention, that you can learn a lot about a person by whom they associate with. Therefore, this will be an incredibly valuable experience for you in that regard as well. So, put all girly girl habits aside and start thinking like a guy…well, don’t go that far, just start thinking about what guys like to do!
For starters, plan a fun group outing that will make his friends feel comfortable. Allowing them to be themselves will make them more open to welcoming you into their group. Perhaps renting a lane or two would be up your alley, check out the local bowling alleys in your neighborhood. A fabulous place in New York City, that I’d recommend is Bowlmor Lanes, at 110 University Place. Not only does it have a swanky bar, it also has glow-in-the-dark bowling!. Choosing an activity that is geared toward their hobbies and interests will definitely score you some points beyond your bowling score. However, if the thought of rent-a-shoe isn’t quite what you had in mind, then consider other male-friendly activities such as mini-golf, pool halls, or a barbeque equipped with loads of food and beer. Once you’ve picked a stellar location, focus on getting to know these guys. People like to be listened to. It’s certainly okay to talk about who you are as well, but don’t forget, this is not a job interview. You’re fabulous, you don’t have to prove it to anyone, you’re just flaunting what you’ve got going on! Again, the key is to be totally at ease and make sure they are too. The odds are these are good people, afterall, your guy clearly has great taste, he found you!
