A Very “Hands On” Date

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Hello there Ladies!

One of the best things about having a tall strapping man around is having his big manly hands to give you a much needed massage after an exhausting day. What if you could incorporate this romantic pastime into your dating life? I recently met a fit young New Yorker, Katie, who says you absolutely can! Three words ladies, Thai Yoga Massage. The practice of Thai Yoga Massage is rooted in Yoga and is an ancient and sacred system of healing. Katie said, “The great thing about going to a Thai Yoga Massage class is that you can bring your special someone—and learn a few massage techniques that’ll help you two relax…relieve a little tension…and have some fun. This is the date that will keep on giving!” So, if this sounds like your dream scenario, check out www.levitateyoga.com or your local yoga studio.

Cool, Calm and Casual

Hello there Ladies! It’s me again, Juliette, your faithful guide to dating. I totally understand that making a killer first impression on a first date can be a very scary notion, and yet it is something we all still hope to achieve. But how does one reveal their true colors to a stranger? Especially a hot stranger! If you really really like the person then the pressure to impress is that much more intense. Have no fear though! I am here to give you the secret to remaining cool, calm, and collected for your big night out. Location, location, location! Be sure to choose a chill environment where you and your date can truly be yourselves. Casual is key to keeping your nerves in check. Living in the Big Apple, I am constantly finding new ways to have fun on dates without always indulging in big city extravagance. Sure, there is a time to wine and dine, but a black tie event on a first date can be a real pressure cooker. Wouldn’t you rather wonder about your date’s kissing abilities instead of stressing over which fork is the salad fork?
Keep it simple by getting to know someone over tasty pastries and a frothy cappuccino. If you are in New York City, try Tisserie Café, at 857 Broadway, in Union Square. Tisserie offers a nice casual, yet stylish atmosphere to make a great impression on any first date.

If the date is going really well and you want to step it up a notch, share one of their amazing desserts with your beau, like their delicious chocolate mousse cake, how très romantique! But, no matter what city you live in, cafés are sure to be buzzing with life, yet quiet enough that your date can hear all of the witty things you’re bound to say!

Check out some other great first date places and recommended Citysearch venues and user reviews in other cities around the US:

Atlanta, Joe’s Coffee
Boston, Uptown Espresso
Chicago, Milk & Honey Café
Denver, Jay’s Patio Café
Los Angeles, Novel Café
San Francisco, Steps of Rome Caffe
